Bill Ledbetter is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist with 35 years of music experience, including 25 years playing in and fronting various semi-professional gigging bands. Although his first love is playing guitar, he is also proficient on Harmonica, Bass, & Mandolin. After years of writing and recording original material in his home studios, he released his first professional CD, The Bill Ledbetter Project’s Always Come Home (Someday) in April, 2013. Recorded and mastered at Bates Brothers Recording, this release included five original songs and one co-written with his talented friend Jean Campbell. Bill was fortunate to have his close friends who are some of Birmingham’s top musicians support this project, including brother Joe Ledbetter on Bass, John English on lead and rhythm guitar, Matt Brennan on Drums, Troy Bland on keyboards and slide guitar, and Tom Thomas on fiddle.
The Bill Ledbetter Project’s members are all busy and committed to various careers but make themselves available for the occasional gig and recording sessions. Bill is available to explore new musical territory whether it is jamming with friends or guesting for gigs and recording sessions.
Lately, he is recording and producing sessions the BLP Creative Studio.
