Nod to FZ – Bill Ledbetter, 1997
This was recorded using an old and free version of the program, Cakewalk on an old PC. I was heavily into Frank Zappa when I did this and was hoping to emulate some of his knack for weirdness. Everything was composed in Cakewalk, exported to a Roland VS 8 track recorder and then the guitar part was overdubbed on top of the midi tracks.
Which One’s Pink? – Bill Ledbetter, 2006
This was recorded using an older version of Garage Band on an iMac G5. Not sure what I was going for here, just playing around with the atmospheric and string sounds with a little guitar nod to Pink Floyd.
